Craving finger-liking good, delicious food? You've found it! The catfish is crispy and it tastes and smells fresh. You'd also get complementary hush puppies with two types of tartar sauce - regular and spicy. The spicy one seems to have some colorant added (see picture), nonetheless, it is so tasty! For sides, the coleslaw is unlike anything I've tried before. It is SO good. The dessert won't let you down either. The pudding was silky smooth, and perfectly cooled. The peach cobbler could use a little less sugar however. Try it! You'd be glad you did. P.s., it's a popular place amongst us locals so they stay busy.
This place really rocks when it comes to delivery. My food was hot and fresh. The fish was cooked to perfection. The shrimp was yummy mashed potatoes with gravy plus green beans I will definitely order again.Oh yeah the jalapeno tartar is everything.
The food here is good. We ate here 2/23/25. My wife had a catfish dinner. She liked it. I was fished out, so I had a cheeseburger and fries. On point. IMO, the vinaigrette coleslaw is better than the creamy. We would eat here again. We were stuffed so did not try the desserts, which was too bad because they have homemade cobblers. Next time.
Great Experience! Nohemi was a fantastic server. The live band (duo) was actually wonderful with a good selection of music. As it has been for years, the food can’t be beat. If you want good catfish this is the place.

Been coming to South location for 40 years, since the old building. Sunday was my 58th Birthday, so we went to get the fried catfish! I got the Big Cat Plate, and my GOODNESS! Was so light and fluffy and tender doesn't even apply here - way more tender than tender :) Flavor AWESOME!, breading wasn't over corn-mealy, just light and delicious, and everything else we got was great, too. Alex was our Server and was on the spot and had our food out quickly. Best Catfish Plate I've ever had - bar none! Heavenly Catfish :) :) Thank you! Of course we'll be back.
This is my go to for catfish in Austin, I may be biased because I love this place but they are so good. Living out of town now, I visited last week and called in an order - although I love their spicy catfish, I had to get my favorite, the blackened salmon dinner with mashed potatoes and macaroni. They are one of the best places I’ve had salmon, no lie. It used to be their Sunday special and I would eat it and recommend it to anyone who’d ask every Sunday! It was just as I remembered, was ready and hot when I got there and so good, I finished it before getting to take a picture. If you’re looking for a drink, get yourself a Mexican martini although everything is good. If you’re not in the mood for fried cat, their tenders are also good as well as their burgers but try it all! The staff is super friendly, my food came out fast, and the hush puppies with jalapeno tartar is the only kind of tartar sauce I will eat. This is a good place to feed your whole family without breaking the bank, the food is fresh and hot, sides are great - I will always visit when I’m in town and you should too!
We went yesterday on a whim (I hadn't been here since COVID). Best decision we made all weekend! Portions were fair sized for the price and everything was great. Two adults - 50 including a generous tip. Stoney, our waitress made it a great experience with her charm and hospitality. From the hush-puppy sticks with spicy tartare sauce to the peach cobbler ala'mode, everything was great. We left stuffed with the perfect "belly-buzz" and smiling. 10-10 will do it again!
